Terms of Use

By using the Luminar platform, you agree to these Terms of Use. Please read this document carefully before using our service. These terms set the basic rules for authors, readers, and community members.

1. Scope of the service

Luminar is a content and creativity platform that lets users create, publish, and read digital literary works and engage through community features (comments, gossip, follows, etc.). The platform may include AI-assisted tools such as Ilhami (Text AI) and Tuval (Visual AI). The scope of the service may evolve over time; material changes will be announced.

2. Account and security

You are expected to provide accurate and up-to-date information when registering. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, change your password immediately and contact our support team.

3. Minimum age and account eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Luminar. Users aged 13–17 should use the service with parental or legal guardian consent to the extent required by the laws of their country. If we learn that an account was created below the minimum age, we may close the account and delete related data.

4. Copyright — author ownership

Copyright in literary works (books, chapters, text) you create, upload, or publish on Luminar belongs entirely to you. Using the platform does not transfer your intellectual property rights to Luminar. You grant only the limited license needed to operate the service (for example, displaying, reading, and sharing your work on the platform); this license leaves copyright with you.

Uploading others' works without permission, plagiarism, or copyright infringement is strictly prohibited. Copyright infringement reports are taken seriously and appropriate legal processes are followed.

5. Content generated with AI tools — Ilhami and Tuval

The following rules apply to content you generate through Ilhami (Text AI) and Tuval (Visual AI):

• You may use Ilhami text suggestions and Tuval images you generate and save, within applicable law and OpenAI terms; usage rights (to the extent you save them) remain with you.
• Prompts that infringe third-party copyright, trademark, or personality rights are prohibited.
• Reselling AI outputs as standalone stock content or brand licenses, offering them as commercial license packs outside the platform, or using them without permission in other works in a way that infringes copyright is prohibited.
• Luminar does not guarantee uniqueness of AI outputs or that they do not conflict with third-party rights; ultimate responsibility rests with the user. The same rules apply to both Ilhami text suggestions and Tuval images.

6. Acceptable use

When using the platform you must:

• Comply with applicable laws and the Community Guidelines
• Respect others' rights, privacy, and dignity
• Avoid actions that harm the platform's technical infrastructure
• Not abuse the service with spam, bots, or automated tools

7. API use, rate limits, and abuse

Luminar APIs and platform endpoints are protected with rate limits for fair use and system security. The following may result in temporary or permanent suspension:

• Automated requests, bots, or reverse-engineering attempts to bypass rate limits
• Unauthorized sharing or misuse of API keys or sessions
• DDoS-like load, scraping, or bulk requests intended to disrupt the service
• Spam content or fake-account campaigns

For repeated or serious violations, your account may be suspended or permanently closed without prior notice.

8. Content moderation

Luminar reserves the right to remove content that violates the Community Guidelines, restrict accounts, or ban users from the platform. Moderation decisions are made to protect platform safety.

9. Changes to and termination of the service

Luminar may temporarily suspend the platform or change features to improve the service, perform maintenance, or meet legal requirements. You may close your account at any time; post-closure data deletion follows our Privacy Policy.

10. Subscriptions, cancellation, and refunds

Paid plans such as Luminar Plus/Pro are managed via the App Store or Google Play in mobile apps, and via the relevant payment provider on the web (for example Paddle / RevenueCat Web Billing). Purchase, renewal, cancellation, and refund requests are largely governed by the store's or payment provider's own policies. In-app "Cancel subscription" or similar links may send you to the relevant management portal; refunds are not at Luminar's unilateral discretion and follow store rules.

11. Limitation of liability

The platform is provided "as is". Luminar does not warrant the accuracy or legal compliance of user content. To the extent permitted by law, liability for indirect damages is disclaimed.

12. Governing law and venue

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Courts and Enforcement Offices of Istanbul (Central) have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these terms or use of the platform; mandatory consumer venue rules remain reserved where applicable.

13. Changes to these terms

These Terms of Use may be updated. The current text takes effect on the date it is published. Continued use of the platform means you accept the updated terms.
